About HTML to PDF
Turning HTML into PDF is a rendering problem, not a text-extraction one: the tool loads your markup the way a browser would, applies whatever inline styles are present, lays out the boxes, and then captures that rendered page as fixed content placed onto PDF pages. This is why visual layout — positioning, colors, backgrounds, basic CSS — carries over far more faithfully than in a typical text-based conversion.
This approach works well for invoices, newsletters, styled reports, or any HTML snippet where visual appearance matters and you want a client-side tool that doesn't touch a server, and therefore doesn't fetch external resources on your behalf. Pasting complete, self-contained HTML with inline styles gives the most predictable results.
The tradeoff for that visual accuracy is that the output isn't real selectable text — it's captured as image content, so you can't search, copy, or edit words directly in the PDF, and screen readers can't parse it either. External stylesheets, web fonts loaded from a URL, and any JavaScript-driven content also won't be picked up, since the renderer only sees the HTML and CSS it's handed directly.
