About Reverse Text
Character reversal flips the entire string end to end, so hello becomes olleh, which is the mode people usually mean by backwards text. Word reversal keeps every word intact and spelled normally but flips the order they appear in, so hello world becomes world hello. Line reversal keeps each line's content untouched and instead flips the order the lines appear in, which is useful for a list or log that's currently in the wrong chronological order.
Practical uses include creating novelty backwards text for puzzles, games or social posts, checking whether a word or phrase reads the same forwards and backwards (a palindrome, like racecar or was it a car or a cat I saw), and reversing a list of dated entries so the most recent one ends up first.
One caveat with character-level reversal: it flips based on individual character units, so text containing emoji, combining accent marks, or other multi-part characters can occasionally come out visually broken even though the underlying reversal happened correctly.
