Extract PDF Pages

Extraction builds a new document containing copies of only the pages you select, along with the fonts and images those specific pages reference — nothing is redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. It's effectively the inverse operation of deletion: instead of specifying what to remove, you specify what to keep, and everything else is left out of the new file entirely.

That makes it well suited to pulling a signature page out of a signed contract, isolating one exhibit from a larger filing, or grabbing a specific chapter to send without forwarding an entire report. Pages can be selected in any combination and any order you need — 2, 5, and 9 from a fifty-page document, for instance — without having to work through the pages between them.

The resulting file is usually much smaller than the original, but not always in exact proportion to the page count, since any fonts or embedded resources used by the selected pages are copied over in full even if a page only used a small part of them. A single page pulled from a document with a large embedded font, for example, may still carry noticeably more weight than its content alone would suggest.
